Juniors and Seniors are given semester-long assignments in accordance with their course of study. Students are able to utilize source amterials from the Doane Archives, throughout Nebraska, and beyond. Some previous projects include:
A history of the Nebraska family farm
The history of the sugar beet in Nebraska
A study of the use and adaptations of hymns by Catherine Winkworth
An examination of the Nebraska Industrial Home in Nilford, NE

Summer Research Grant Program
Students are provided with stipends to collaborate with faculty on scholarly or creative research during the summer months.
